Apple Tree: For obvious reasons the ancient Celts consider the apple tree a treasure among the Ogham tree clan. Its brilliant flowers burst forth in the spring, usually ranging from pink to white. These flowers have a light aroma that lifts the spirit of all who pass by them. Ancient Celts would decorate bedchambers with the apple blossoms as a fertility gesture and to tribute the beauty and bounty life provides. After the glory of the blossoms, come the fruit of the apple. Druids recognized the powerful transformative qualities experienced when consuming the apple. It was thought the fruit could transport the eater to other worlds, typically of a paradise-like ilk. Further altered states could be induced by pressing the apples and allowing them to ferment over time, thus producing a hard cider. Apples were highly valued by the ancient Celts because of their ability to keep over a long period of time when stored in a cool dry place. This was symbolic of the presence of love, even long past the time of peak ripeness. In other words, when the waves of passion subside, love lingers even after wards when simple companionship is the prime comfort. Celts recognized all of the features of the apple tree and viewed it as pleasing in every way. It was even a symbol of creativity (as well as creation) and was an emblem of art and poetry. The meaning of apple trees is also associated with virtue, and the tree (as well as the fruit) is a symbol of purity and motherhood .
Even the formation of the tree trunk in her various poses was said to have a female form to it, and was considered a beacon of fertility. Indeed, apple wood was often burned during fertility rites and festivals carried out in the winter months. These were demonstrations to beckon bountiful abundance upon the return of spring as well as symbolically insure continuation of large, healthy families

The Faeries- Generally faeries are highly connected to nature and take care of the natural world or what some might call the elemental world. They bring the spring and help the nature kingdom wake up from its long winter slumber. They work through the summer to help nature grow and into the fall to direct nature through its transition into winter. And in winter they bring the snows and watch over the natural world while it sleeps. In these legends, the faeries are in charge of the elemental seasons helping the world transition from one section of the Divine circle to the next.
Other legends have the faeries watching over the vortex elements of nature. These elements being earth, air, fire and water. They use these elements to support the natural courses of nature as it moves around the Divine circle of change; birth, life, death and spirit.
In our modern times, this is excellently depicted in Disney's Tinkerbell movies. Each type of fairy has his or her own talent that assists nature moving through the seasons, which are brought to the human world by the fae themselves.
In general faeries live in Faerie Land, a mystical invisible place that can rarely be seen by humans and only at certain times of the day or year. Some legends foretell of humans who have been touched by the faeries and can see their land whenever they want, or only at night. Other stories say Faerie Land can only be seen at night during a full moon, or only during certain holidays during the year when there is much merriment and the faeries drop their guard to keep hidden. The most common of these holidays occurs during 3 Pagan Sabbats (sabbath holidays). The first occurs in May and is known as Bealtaine when the God and maiden Goddess are betrothed. The second occurs on the last sunset of October known as Samhain when the Celtic New Year begins. The final holiday occurs at the end of the year during the 12 Days of Yule when the God is reborn to the world.
Dream Catcher
To Native Americans, dreams were messages sent by sacred spirits. Dreamcatchers are an authentic Native American tradition, from the Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe. The people would tie sinew strands in a web around a small round or tear-shaped frame in a similar pattern to how they tied webbing for Ojibway snowshoes--and hang this "dream-catcher" as a charm to protect sleeping children from nightmares. According to legend, the hole in the center of a dream catcher web allows good dreams to reach the sleeper, while the web itself traps the bad dreams until they disappear with the first light of morning

Triquetra The Trinity Knot or triquetra was used to symbolize and honor the Mother, Maiden and Crone of the neo-pagan triple goddess. It signifies the three life-cycles of a woman in relation to the phases of the moon. In more recent times, it has come to be recognized as a symbol for 'The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit'. For pagans, the Triquetra represents the threefold nature of the Goddess as virgin, mother and crone. It also symbolizes life, death, and rebirth and the three forces of nature: earth, air, and water. The inner three circles represent the female element and fertility. For Christians, the Triquetra represents the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--three persons as one God. Its three equal arcs represent equality, its continuous line expresses eternity, and the interweaving represents indivisibility and unity.
Pentagram: Celtic Pentagram
A pentagram or pentacle is a five-pointed star. Pentagrams were used symbolically in ancient Greece and Babylonia to seal off and keep away evil influences, including, it was believed, spoilage, which is why they were painted over doors and on food vessels. The Pentagram has magical associations, and many people who practice pagan faiths wear them. It’s original meaning was “health” or well-being, and it’s five points often associated with the five elements (Spirit, Water, Fire, Earth, & Air) , or the five “points” of the human body. If you cut an apple through it’s core, it reveals a pentacle or pentagram. The apple was not only sacred to the Celts (it was believed the dead went to the blessed Apple Isles) and to their ancient Goddess, but was also associated with health (an apple a day keeps the doctor away).
Pentagram is a symbol of a star encased in a circle. Always with 5 points (one pointing upward), each has its own meaning. The upward point of the star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water. All these things contibutite to life and are a part of each of us.To wear a pentagram necklace or other form of jewelry, is to say you feel the connection with the elements and respect the earth.
The Shamrock:
A common saying associated with the shamrock and the clover family is “to be in clover” or to live a carefree life of ease and prosperity
Irish legends about the shamrock include a variety of mystic powers. The leaves of the shamrock are said to stand on end to warn of an approaching storm. The shamrock is claimed to be a remedy against the sting of scorpions and the bite of snakes. The shamrock is associated with Ireland more than any other emblem. Shamrock comes from the Irish word “seamrog”, meaning “summer plant” Even prior to St. Patrick, the Druids considered the impressive vitality of the shamrock to be a sign of sacredness. In this way, the shamrock came to represent life itself. Shamrocks are also known as wood sorrels, usually found in rich woods and rocky places. The blossoms have five violet-colored petals. The wood sorrel was a mystic symbol for the ancient Druids in Ireland. It was a symbol for joy, maternal tenderness and was associated with the Celtic sun wheel.
The most well-known meanings were imparted to the shamrock by St. Patrick, who compared the plant’s tri-part leaves to the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Host Spirit. Occasionally shamrocks are found with four leaves. These are rare and considered to be very lucky for the finder.
The oak is considered a cosmic storehouse of wisdom embodied within its towering strength. Ancient Celts observed the oak's massive growth and impressive expanse. They took this as a clear sign that the oak was to be honored for its endurance, and noble presence. Indeed, wearing oak leaves was a sign of special status among the Celts (as well as ancient Greeks and Romans). Today we see artistic renditions of the "Leafman" in which a man's face is covered in leaves. This is an evolution of lore that dates back to earth-based spirituality in which the regal power of the oak was recognized and honored. There are accounts that trace the name "druid" to duir, the Celtic term for the oak. More interestingly, the actual translation of duir is "door" and lore indicates the spiritually advanced Celts would access the ethereal planes of higher thought (psychic vision or soul-thought) by "opening the oak door." The Celtic meaning of the oak tree includes attributes such as: Life,Strength,Wisdom,Nobility,Family,Loyalty,Power,Longevity,Heritage,Honor
The oak's status was (and still is) undeniable. Further merit to its regal presence is its tendency to attract lightning. This was considered hugely powerful among the ancients and is associated with one of their foremost gods, Dagda. Its attraction for lightning, its size and longevity (oaks are known to easily surpass 200 years of age) all make the oak a powerful,life-affirming symbol. The oak is a living legend representing all that is true, wholesome, stable, and noble. When you are in need of stability and strength in your life - envision the oak in your minds eye. Picture yourself drawing into its endless energy waves. Soon, you will find yourself sharing in its power. There is a reason the oak is considered the king of green realm. The oak is generous with its gifts - just as any good ruler shares its bounty amongst the kingdom.
OM – Sounding the tone of “OM” creates a vibrational frequency of harmony in the body. It is a sacred Hindu and Buddhist syllable used as a mantra or in blessings to honor the universe.

How to cleanse and charge your crystal / stone jewelry To 'cleanse' your crystal / stone jewelry, I recommend either placing your jewelry in the light of a FULL moon overnight or on a Amethyst cluster. Both of these methods 'cleanse' and 'charge' your jewelry. The main reason for 'cleansing' your crystal is to remove any negative energies that have attached to the crystal. The main reason for 'charging' your jewelry is to enhance the abilities of your crystals. As far as actual physical cleaning and care of your jewelry, a lightly dampened cloth will typically suffice for cleaning.
